Job Description
Building Four Fabrication, LLC is a full service exhibits and display firm, specializing in custom fabricated visual environments. Our highly experienced staff has taken hundreds of projects from concept to realization. Those projects range from interior and exterior exhibits, signage, graphics, custom art and display projects. BLDG4 maintains a reputation for high quality and on-time installations and works directly with Architects, Designers, Developers, Facility Managers, General Contractors, Management and Marketing Coordinators.
Scenic fabricator will utilize studio art skills to work with wood, metal, glass, acrylic, plaster, and other mediums as required to complete projects. May utilize painting, carving, sanding, mold making, fiberglass, screen printing, fritting, cutting, polishing and other studio art skills as necessary to complete projects. Prior experience and prior work portfolio required.

Responsibilities include:
  • Scenic or Set building experience
  • Experience working within a Corporate Client environment.
  • Strong ability to effectively communicate with other staff members as well as clients.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor a must.
  • Willingness to travel for installation
  • Faux finish experience. Commercial grade finishes are a PLUS.
  • Experience with various materials including wood, acrylic, foam, steel and aluminum.
  • Ability to work on a team without supervision.
  • Eye for detail. We produce high quality products quickly.
  • Must be able to inspect a project for quality.
  • Able to pass a drug/background check
  • Ability to lead, manage and work in tandem with a team of carpenters
  • Timeliness and punctuality, a must
  • Ability to follow cut sheets and take project from a CAD drawing to a final build
  • Training in sculpture or other art medium
  • Skilled with power and hand tools and able to read blueprints/shop drawings
  • Strong and able bodied, must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • High levels of intelligence, creativity, attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Knowledge of building, installation, and mechanical processes
  • Must maintain safety practices and adhere to WB Powell, OSHA, and California Labor Code safety requirements.
  • Superb communication skills and a sense of humor
  • Must be willing to travel
