Name: Chamblee's Solar Eclipse Festival
Date: August 21, 2017
Time: 12:30 PM - 4:00 PM EDT
Event Description:
The Chamblee Chamber of Commerce is partnering with the City of Chamblee and Interactive College of Technology (ICT) to hold an Eclipse Festival!
Next Monday, we will be treated to a total solar eclipse. The last time the contiguous US saw a total eclipse was in 1979. A solar eclipse is where the moon passes between the sun and Earth and blocks all or part of the sun for about three hours from beginning to end. During the festival, businesses along with the city will set up educational projects, experiments, and games. Refreshments for everyone will be provided. Please join us for this historical event while enjoying fun activities for the entire family! A limited amount of solar glasses will be provided so make sure you arrive early!
